Brainwoosh is a neuroscience blog with a broad perspective.
At Brainwoosh, we curate newly published, neuroscientific, open-access papers daily. We recap them into blogs about interesting, relevant, peculiar, and sometimes groundbreaking news about the brain and mind in health and disease.
By adapting the often stiff scientific language, we want to make real scientific discoveries accessible and engaging to everyone—regardless of background, gender, or where in the world you live.
We hope the insights from the blog will broaden your perspective. At the very least, they will give you some great conversation starters for your next dinner party.
Brainwoosh is free, and it’s free from fake news too. All sources that we base our content on at Brainwoosh are international, peer-reviewed journals with a high impact factor.
This is an independent blog, receiving no funding from any external sources.
Stay up to date, get entertained, get inspired, and get wiser. Let’s hack the scientist’s hub together.

About Me
After 20 years as a neurosurgeon, my head is filled with all sorts of neuroscience insights. Like many, I’m also curious about what’s happening inside my own head, and I’m constantly eager to learn more.
I’ve always been fascinated by the intricate workings of nature, with the brain, to me, standing as the pinnacle of nature's complexity. It’s just so darn interesting.
Writing about and teaching neuroscience has always been central to my work. Along the way, I realized that with so much exciting progress in neuroscience, too few people have access to it. Democratizing knowledge is important. That inspired me to start Brainwoosh.
Stay tuned!
